On April 4th at 9:57am the Ronkonkoma Fire Department was toned out for a residential structure fire. Upon arrival, Chief of the Department Tim Blewitt toned out for a working basement fire. The first due engine crew under the supervision of Captain Kiss and Assistant Chief Diaz quickly made entry and knocked down the fire. Overhaul and searched were conducted by mutual aid departments. The call was placed under control at 10:28 am. Damage was limited to the basement area only. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation by the fire marshals office.
